The age attribute specifies how old a rug is. There are three major timelines: antique, semi-antique and contemporary area rugs. Sometimes the date of creation is woven into the rug.
Antique
Rugs over 60 years old are considered antique Area Rug.
Semi-Antique
Rugs between 25 to 60 years old are considered semi-antique rug.
Contemporary
Rugs less than 25 years old are considered contemporary Area Rug.
